Blizzard Bag Assignments
Under the Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.482, The Newton Falls Exempted Village School Board of Education approved the authorization for use of Blizzard Bags this school year. All teachers are required to have the materials available on Tuesday, November 1st. Google Classroom assignments, assigned iReady lessons, etc., will suffice for the Blizzard Bag lessons and will be posted to the respective teacher's Google Classroom.For the younger students that fare better doing paper copy assignments, they will be provided to the students ahead of time and communicated to parents that the lessons are Blizzard Bag lessons to be completed in the event of a declared Blizzard Bag Day.
Blizzard Bag Days may be declared if the district exceeds the amount of allowed snow days within the given year. Each school year, the district will apply to the State of Ohio Department of Education for the ability to issue Blizzard Bag Days if they are needed.
