2022-2023 Yearbooks
The 2022-2023 yearbooks have arrived! They will be passed out during lunches. Any student who did not get their book, see Mrs. Reynolds in room 319.TCTC students and class of 2023 students can pick up their yearbooks in the High School Office with Mrs. Howard.
JH/HS: 1st Quarter Interims
JH/HS:Interims for Quarter 1 have been posted to the Parent Access Portal in Progressbook. Any student with a "D" or "F" mark on their interim will have one mailed home to them today.
As always, all student grades are available 24/7 via Progressbook and we encourage parents to check this information frequently. Thank you!
Parking Passes
Students who intend to drive to school MUST fill out parking permit forms. These are available in the High School Office. Once completed, please return all forms to the High School Office. Students must also bring their driver's license to the office to be copied and kept on file with forms. Any student driving to school must fill out this year's forms and display this year's pass. These are to be completed and turned in no later than Friday, September 29th, as the SRO will be checking the parking lot to ensure all have passes. There is NO COST for the pass but all student drivers must have one displayed.Work Permits
Student work permits forms are available in the High School Office and also online. The Superintendent's Office has asked for students to drop off their completed permits in the morning and return after school to pick them up.To view the form online, go to Student Work Permit Form
Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations
The deadline for Newton Falls Athletic Hall of Fame nominations for the Class of 2023 are due by October 1st, 2023.To submit a nomination, please click the link below. Thank you for your support!

Vision and Hearing Screenings
State mandated vision and hearing screening will be conducted throughout the district starting on Monday, October 2nd, through Friday, October 6th.The following students will be participating in this screening:
All students in grades 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11
All new students grades K-12.
Kindergarten students not previously screened
Some students receiving special services
The tentative schedule for this screening is:
Monday, October 2nd - Elementary/Middle School
Tuesday, October 3rd - Elementary/Middle School
Wednesday, October 4th - Junior/Senior High School
Thursday, October 5th - Junior/Senior High School
Friday, October 6th - All buildings absent/missed students
If your student is prescribed glasses or contacts please make sure they have them at school on the screening days. Students who do not pass the screenings will be rescreened in 4-6 weeks. If they fail the second screening you will receive written notification in the mail of the need for additional testing.

Tutoring Resources
Parents,We wanted to share a resource with you that can help provide additional academic support to your child(ren).
The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program provides qualifying families with a $1,000 credit per child. These funds can be used to pay for a variety of educational activities designed to help accelerate learning for children impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are planning a College, Career, and Trades Fair on Thursday, October 12th, in the Junior High and High School!This event will not only be open to our students, but also to our community members who are interested in learning more about local educational and career opportunities.

Please join the Newton Falls Elementary/Middle School staff and local businesses at the Elementary/Middle School on Thursday, October 19th, for a fun night of Trunk or Treat.The fun starts in the Elementary/Middle School parking lot at 5:00 PM and lasts until 6:00 PM.

High School Tutoring
Beginning Tuesday, October 3rd, there will be after-school tutoring for High School students in Room 103. Any High School student who is interested in receiving additional help with their academics should take advantage of this opportunity! The tutoring will be offered on Tuesdays right after school until 4:00 PM in Room 103.JHHS Yearbooks On Sale
The 2023-2024 Junior High/High School yearbooks are on sale! They will be delivered at the beginning of the 2024 school year.To purchase your yearbook, go to this link.
In Case Of Emergency
In case of emergencies such as school closings, bus delays, or upcoming events, the district will use its computerized telephone notification system to inform parents. It is extremely important that parents verify their emergency telephone numbers with each building secretary. If you have changed telephone numbers or are now using only a cell phone contact to be reached, please update your information with the building secretary.Please watch the videos below for school news and announcements.
